Set on a compact lot with over ten feet of vertical grade change, this historic 1920s Mission Revival home underwent a complete transformation—seamlessly blending architecture, interiors, and landscape into a cohesive and comfortable estate.
Working alongside a team of architects and interior designers, we reimagined the entire site, introducing a series of private, terraced garden rooms designed for both beauty and purpose. Custom pergolas, fireplaces, a fountain, a lap pool, a vegetable garden, and a new casita create a dynamic outdoor experience, carefully tailored to the family's lifestyle.
Every detail was considered, from intricate brick paving and decorative tilework to custom metal railings and precisely framed hedges. Each outdoor space is designed with intention, whether for dining, studying, swimming, grilling, or simply unwinding in the California sun.
Initial site planning and design done with Hoerr Schaudt. Ongoing design work by The Outside Design Studio.
